Puff Bar and Vaporsocket – Are They WORTHWHILE?
A secretive e cigarette company that has reaped millions of pounds by exploiting a loophole has said it is temporarily suspending sales in the U.S after revelations concerning the owners. A package sent directly to parents claimed that Puff Bar was developing a new, non-tobacco-based option to cigarettes without tobacco. Puff Bar also advertised a “new and improved” alternative to traditional cigarettes without tobacco, or mentholated flavour. The product is comparable to Nicorette, an inhalable drug that is available without nicotine.
The manufacturers claim the ingredients in Puff Bar are produced from a combination of guava and water. Guava is an alkaline base plant from Asia, used for medicinal purposes. Its traditional use has been as a laxative, to alleviate stomach and intestinal discomfort, and to cure intestinal inflammations and ulcers. It is not toxic and will not cause cancer, although guava has been known to be carcinogenic in the laboratory. Guava has also recently been linked to raised blood pressure and coronary heart disease.
The makers of Puff Bar claim it has replaced the need for cigarettes by delivering nicotine by way of a vapor that mimics the taste of cigarettes, but will not contain any of the other harmful chemicals present in regular tobacco. They also say one-time use of the Puff Bar will enable someone to quit smoking forever, since it releases just the right amount of nicotine into the vapour. Simply because the puff bar is made to release a little bit of the addictive drug into the vapour.
Among the difficulties JUUL Pods in testing the claims created by Puff Bar is that you cannot send a cigarette or perhaps a pen-like device in to the chamber to check its effects. It can be used in a Puff Bar, which means you can’t send a cigarette through the pod device to test its effect. This problem was one of the reasons the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association recommended against their use as a smoking cessation aid.
In line with the manufacturers, the puff bars are simple to use, and can be used anywhere. One advantage they say is that they produce a one-time release of nicotine, and that means you need not keep smudging. You simply take a puff and put it away. These devices work on exactly the same basic principle because the nicotine patches. The nicotine and flavouring are absorbed into your bloodstream through the skin and so are released gradually over an interval of a few minutes.
The biggest feature for the Puff Bar appears to be its selection of flavours, which derive from popular American snacks. It includes an array of flavours including banana, apple, chocolate and peanut butter, in addition to carrot, grapefruit, hot chocolate, and orange. Additionally, there are fruity flavours such as melon, kiwi and lemon. Additionally it is geared towards non-smokers, offering flavours especially for those who want to quit.
In fact, this is not the 1st time a new sort of e-cigsarette has appeared available. Vaporsocket, which uses an advanced electronic system similar to that of a vaporizer, was initially designed as a means of testing the effectiveness of an electronic cigarettes option to the patch. But when several Italian researchers published their findings in the prestigious Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, it was discovered that the Vaporsocket cartridge-based vaporizer gave as much, if not more nicotine as a puff bar.
One of many concerns about utilizing a puff bar is the insufficient nicotine. Since nicotine is a highly addictive substance, it makes sense that smokers would prefer it over gum and patches. Also, most public health experts are concerned that the cigarettes could be particularly dangerous to children, as they can release large amounts of nicotine into the lungs. Although the new Puff Bar products don’t contain nicotine, they do contain propylene glycol, a chemical popular in food and cosmetic manufacturing.
